Bacon & Mushroom Carbonara by Ah Gim



Ingredients:1. Pasta of ur choice ( boiled in hot water for 6-8 mins with a pinch of salt & oil then wash it with cold water for a more al dente pasta)
2. 2 slices of bacon -> cut into small pieces
3. 100gram cooking cream (I use Emborg but any brand shd work)
4. 2 tablespoon butter
5. 50gram parmesan cheese
6. 1 cup fresh milk
7. Mushroom of ur choice (I used brown mushrooms)
8. Chopped 2 Garlic
9. Dried parsley

Recipe as follows:(Cook ur pasta before cooking the sauce.)
1. Heat up wok & add 1 teaspoon of oil. (Medium heat)
2. Add bacon & fry till crispy, then add chopped garlic & fry for another min.
3. Add in the butter & the sliced mushrooms & stirfry for another min.
4. Mix the cream, milk & cheese altogether and add them to the wok. (Some recipes add in an egg too.)
5. Pour in the cooked pasta, & mix the sauce & pasta & a dash of dried parsley well.
Done & Enjoy!

Taste is very subjective. I felt the bacon & cheese is salty enough so I didn't add any salt.
If u prefer it with more sauce, u can add an extra cup of fresh milk.

The above recipe is good for 2 pax.
